Senior, Military & First Responder Discounts on HVAC Service in Aurora, CO — How It Works
Most seniors never find out they qualify for a discount, because the discount is not advertised at the point of booking. Nationally, HVAC senior programs typically run 10–15% off service for customers 60+ or 65+, but the only reliable way to get one is to ask before the work is scheduled.
How the senior rate works
- Ask when you call. Mention it at booking, not after the invoice. The discount is applied to the work order before the technician arrives.
- Know your age threshold. Programs commonly use 60+ or 65+. Ours is 65+, at 10% off any regular service. Active military, veterans and first responders get the same 10%, and it applies to the $89 repair call too.
- Have proof ready. A driver's license or state ID. It is a one-time verification, not something you repeat every visit.
- Know it does not stack. The 10% senior rate and the $200 two-service bundle cannot be combined. Pick whichever saves you more — on a single service the senior rate wins, on the two-service visit the $200 bundle is the larger saving.
What it is worth on our fall services
| Service | Standard price | Why it matters in fall |
|---|---|---|
| Evaporative cooler shutdown | $150 | Prevents a frozen supply line from splitting and leaking into your ceiling |
| Gas furnace service | $150 | Prevents a no-heat emergency on the first freezing night |
| Both, same visit | $200 | $100 off, one appointment, one trip |
| Repair call — trip & diagnosis | $89 | Flat rate, then a flat repair price before work starts — no hidden labor fees. $80.10 with the 10% discount. |
At 10% off, a $150 service comes to $135 — a $15 saving. The senior rate does not combine with the $200 two-service bundle, so on a two-service visit use the $200 bundle instead: it takes $300 down to $200, which is the bigger saving of the two.
Other savings Aurora seniors should know about
Beyond a company discount, these programs exist and many are under-used:
- Colorado Weatherization Assistance Program — free energy-efficiency improvements for income-qualified households, run through the Colorado Energy Office.
- LIHEAP — federal assistance with heating and cooling bills, and in some cases repair and replacement costs, for income-qualified households.
- Utility rebates — cash back from your utility for qualifying high-efficiency equipment.
- Federal tax credits (Section 25C) — credits for qualifying efficiency upgrades; equipment-specific limits are higher than the general annual cap.
- Area Agencies on Aging and local senior centers — they keep lists of local businesses that offer senior pricing, and they help with applications.
Program rules, eligibility and credit amounts change. Confirm current terms directly with the Colorado Energy Office, your utility, or the IRS before you count on any of them.
Why fixed-income homeowners get hit hardest in fall
Two services land in the same three weeks: the cooler has to come down and the furnace has to be proven. On a fixed income, that is exactly the kind of bill people postpone — and postponing the cooler shutdown is the single most expensive way to save money, because one split line costs more than several shutdowns.
Seniors, military, veterans & first responders: 10% off any regular service
Cooler shutdown $150 · furnace service $150 · $200 for both in one visit.
The 10% senior rate and the $200 bundle do not combine — use whichever saves you more.

Can the 10% senior rate be combined with the $200 bundle?
No. The two offers do not combine — use whichever saves you more. On a single $150 service the senior rate saves $15. On a two-service visit the $200 bundle is the larger saving, taking $300 to $200.

Does the 10% discount apply to repair calls too, or only tune-ups?

Can a family member book for me?
Yes. Have them mention the senior rate when they call, and make sure someone is at the home for the visit.
Do you offer discounts for veterans or first responders?
